Since separation from employment, former Best Buy employee, Daniel Pruitt, has filed a complaint that the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act, or COBRA, notice is inadequate as it fails to provide required information. Many current and former employees came forward, claiming that the notice is "confusing and misleading" as a result of this lack of information. This includes a failure to notify current and former employees who received the COBRA notice of an explanation on how to enroll in COBRA and the "address indicating where COBRA payment should be mailed."
The Best Buy class action lawsuit is represented by attorney Chad A. Justice alongside Brandon J. Hill and Luis A. Cabassa of Wenzel Fenton Cabassa PA.
